I just spent the day in training with a wonderful lady – Jackie Blasko. 

I walked out feeling like the “Little Engine That Could,” except instead of “I think I can, I think I can…”, I was humming “DO IT, do it, do it, do, DO IT, do it, do it, do it….”   I figured that  if my head was going to buzz I wanted to company – and YOU ARE SELECTED!  (Lucky you!   )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Mantra to Help Crush Internet Marketing Overwhelm – Do It!

One of my fascinations is Overwhelm, especially as it relates people coming online to find leads or customers for their businesses.  Typically these entrepreneurs find the topic of Internet Marketing totally Frustrating and Overwhelming.  I study how this works, how it happens and how to FIX it.

So, how do we get overwhelmed? 

• Some of us are learners  – and get stuck in the HUGE mass of online training available.
• Some of us are “try it and see if it works”  -and find that none of the supposedly quick, cheap program to achieve massive success work.  See my blog post on THAT! 
• Some of us get addicted to the next Bright Shiny Thing – every day there is another  “this is the  greatest solution I have ever heard in my life!”
• Some of us want to take what we know about off-line and apply it directly online – and find that advertising on Google, Bing, Facebook, YouTube and the like is different to say the least.
• Some of us see the HUGE mass of training mentioned above as a maze and can’t seem to find the door so we don’t ever get started.   Sometimes this is called analysis paralysis.
• Some pick a plan and work hard – but find that we aren’t getting the results we wanted.

The first thing we need to do if get off the dime and start moving.  We need to be leaving a wake behind our boat.

For myself I have identified five steps and you have to walk up these steps one at a time.  (If this looks like Dr. Hale’s Foolproof Method to Crush Overwhelm – well it is!)

First Lets Take about 35 seconds and See How We Should Learn Things

 

 

 

  Do It Step By Step – Do It Right.

 

There is usually a step 0 where we have wandered around and taken many Webinars, bought courses and eBooks and Instant Solutions.   We learned some things here, but not enough to be productive. (I spent a couple of years and many thousands of dollars here.)

NOW LET’S REALLY DO IT!

• Step 1 – Find a mentoring/mastermind program to help guide your further education and action.  It will save you years of frustration.  (Ann Sieg’s Daily Marketing Coach Mentoring Program is by far my mentoring program of choice – and I tried dozens.)

• Step 2 –Plan and  Learn (We are designing a complete Sales Funnel here.)

• Step 3 – Build a home base, often a blog.  You need a place online that looks substantial and professional.  People need to learn to know, like and trust you.   The more transparent you are the more you will attract people who resonate with you.   Please note that some people will NOT resonate with you.  That is okay.  For example  Dan Kennedy (A Guru of Gigantic proportions) is quoted as saying “The bigger your ambitions,  he more likely you are to offend people while achieving those ambitions. And your opportunity to have meaningful impact will be in direct proportion to your willingness to offend.” (You are reading this on my home base.

• Step 4 – Market you products and services.  (This is where I am right now.)

• Step 5 – Check and Adjust – this is a life long process.  Technology, products, accepted practice, customer fatigue and many other factors mean we have to modify what we are doing forever.

If each step you have to DO IT!  do it!  do it! do it! DO IT!  do it!  do it! do it!
